Around The NFL

– Eli Manning remains the most overpaid QB in the NFL (Sorry, JaMarcus Russell)

– The NY Jets continue to be the media darlings of the press. I wonder how many people are already sick of hearing about this team. Personally, I won’t be surprised if they finish with the same record as last year (9-7). Their offense still has question marks, notably QB Mark Sanchez.

– QB Brady Quinn, a former 1st round pick, may not even be the #2 QB in Denver when the season begins. Timmy Tebow was an impressive 8/13 for 105 yards in the Broncos first preseason game against the Bengals, while Quinn struggled going 6/16 for 68 yards and 1 INT. Combine that with the fact that everyone and their mother seems to be in love with Tebow and things aren’t looking good for Quinn.

– It’s only preseason but Bills fans can’t be feeling too optimistic about their team after the Bills loss to the Redskins by a score of 42-17. To add insult to injury, Rex Grossman (Yes, REX GROSSMAN) completed 11/18 passes for 140 yards, 2 TD’s and a 122 QB rating. Has Grossman ever finished a game with a 90 QB rating?

– The sporting world can breath a sigh of relief, Brett Favre IS COMING BACK!!!!……yeah.
